A new edition of the “Social Innovation International Festival” (FIIS for its acronym in Spanish) is here for its 2021 version, and as Glaciares Chilenos Foundation, we are very excited to be part of this magnificent event.
With nine years of history, FIIS has taken place in over 20 cities around the world, with great international allies. The festival’s purpose is focused on celebrating an inspiring future together with organizations, entrepreneurs, artists, musicians, and all those who are driving positive and transformative changes.
The main motivation for this event is to seek and gather transformative talents that create a positive impact, focusing on collaboration and the encounter between different people and impactful causes.
FIIS wants to celebrate social innovators, and our Foundation has been invited to participate in the event for the second time. This time, we will have a stand in the Mundo FIIS section “Acción Climática” (climate action in English) and will be presenting a talk to the attendees:
“Experiencing Glaciers,” delivered by Paola Araya, Media and Communications Department Collaborator, Geographer, and Candidate for a Master’s in Meteorology and Climatology.
In addition, at our stand, you can learn about the work of our foundation, meet our volunteer team, discover the projects we are working on, and purchase products from our Tienda Glaciar (Glacier Store in English) at https://tiendaglaciar.com/. All profits from the sale of our t-shirts, postcards, reusable bags, and more, will directly benefit the realization of our projects.
The event will take place on Saturday, December 4th, from 10:30 AM to 8:30 PM at the Parque Intercomunal in La Reina.
